FEU Tech’s English Guild represented the College at SCOP’s 28th Annual National Convention, held at La Carmela de Boracay, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan, on May 2-4, 2013.  In collaboration with the Student Affairs and Community Services Office (SACSO), the iTamaraw team, comprised of Bryann Isaac Yu (BS ECE), Melody Bertes (BS IT-AGD), and Prof. Augustus Caezar Latosa, attended the three-day event.

The convention, themed “State of Speech Communication Education, Research, and Profession in the Philippines, and in the Global Context,” aimed to deliberate on the current state of Speech Communication education in both local and international settings.  Participants who attended the convention came from the private and public sectors of academe and industry.  Professionals and students worked together to analyze the roles and trends of field communication research and discuss the development of communication curricula and literacy in both the academe and society.
