CE Graduate DK Tuzon Joins The Prestigious FEU Tech Topnotchers List

Posted: 2018-03-16

"When I first went to FEU Tech, the banners of former Civil Engineering Board topnotchers caught my attention and I remembered telling myself, this is the school for me." From that moment on, Danielle Kenneth Tuzon had a clear goal in mind: to top the licensure exams.

Tuzon placed 10th among the 6,075 passers of the November 2017 Civil Engineering Licensure Exams with an impressive rating of 95.10 %, a feat he credits to the supportive environment he experienced both at home and in school.

And of course, he does not forget to mention the One up there. "It was God who brought me to FEU Tech. I already paid the reservation fee for another school but then I passed the FEU Tech entrance exam and I was even offered a scholarship," he recounted.

Tuzon looked back on a difficult period when he lost the scholarship due to a failing grade in a subject. "I was not even sure if I could still enrol the following semester. But even when I lost my scholarship, my family still trusted me and paid for my tuition." Instead of giving up, he used his family's support to persevere and work harder.

Tuzon began by using his free time to study and prepare for the licensure exams. "What I did was start early and one by one I studied the notes from the review center. I also did not focus on attaining a specific rating. For me, as long as I learned something, it was enough."

Today, Engineer DK Tuzon has his own banner hanging on the FEU Tech wall of topnotchers. He is now working at Design Coordinates, Inc., the leading domestic company in the Construction Project Management field.

"But if I will be given an opportunity, I would like to teach after a few years," this was his way of showing gratitude and giving back by guiding the future topnotchers.
