FTIC conducts flagship program ‘Unmasked’

Posted: 2024-03-27

The FEU Tech Innovation Center (FTIC) conducted “Unmasked: Insights and Conversations with Filipino Entrepreneurs and Nation Builders” last March 23, 2024, at the Student Plaza.

Aya Fernandez, an actress, beauty queen, social entrepreneur, and the CEO and Founder of Eco-Uling by Project Lily PH served as the event’s guest speaker, sharing her inspiring entrepreneurial journey which started when she was a college student leader.

From being a livelihood passion project-turned-social enterprise, Eco-Uling by Project Lily PH produces eco-friendly charcoal briquettes made out of water lily and mainly coconut wastes. This social enterprise aims to end poverty and inequality, save the environment through social innovation, and empower people by providing employment opportunities to nearby communities and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

“Unmasked,” one of the flagship programs of FTIC, aims to inspire and develop FEU Tech students’ entrepreneurial mindset and encourage them to innovate their own startup or business ventures with social impact.
