In celebration of FEU Tech’s 32nd Founding Anniversary and in recognition of the impactful contributions of technological innovations to society, our students held the annual TechnoWeek 2024 from February 12 to 17.
With the theme, “Restating Digital & Engineering Innovation - Breaking Barriers to Building Inclusivity,” the event was organized by the Student Coordinating Council (SCC) in collaboration with Recognized Student Organizations (RSO) from FEU Tech, FEU Alabang, and FEU Diliman.
On February 12, 2024, the event commenced with an opening parade involving all departments from the College of Engineering (COE) and College of Computer Studies and Multimedia Arts (CCSMA). Following this, our Engineering students enjoyed an opportunity to learn from distinguished speakers and industry professionals during the Engineering Day. The lineup of speakers included Ronaldo S. Lacsamana who served as the keynote speaker, Jayson Salamero who discussed structural support for vibrating equipment, and Joselito Eduard Goh who delved into arduino applications.
Meanwhile, the Information Technology, Computer Science, and Multimedia Arts students participated in the CCSMA Day, held on February 15, 2024. The event’s theme was “Digital Divide: Strengthening Inclusivity Through Paradigm Shift,” and served as a platform for industry experts such as Carlos Manuel, Athena Abe, and Ashley Ko, to promote discussions on Artificial Intelligence, its impact on UI/UX Development, and the use of UX Design in the development of multimedia solutions.
Furthermore, TechnoWeek 2024 highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit of FEU Tech students, as they showcased their creative products such as stickers, pins, photocards, artworks, and handmade jewelry at booths set up in the Student Plaza and Canteen.
Year after year, the celebration of Technoweek stands as a testament to the boundless creativity, innovations, and collaborations that define the Tamaraw community. By facilitating insightful discussions, engaging activities, and entrepreneurial endeavors, this annual initiative continues to reinforce the pivotal role of FEU Tech in shaping the future through impactful technological innovations.
